The first-person stealth action game World War II: Underground is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
World War II: Underground is a newly revealed stealth game set in the realities of Nazi Germany occupied Europe during World War II. The developers of Demolish Games SA announced that the missions will be inspired by real-life operations of the resistance movement and the title will take into account the barbaric nature of the occupation.
The new game is produced and published by the Polish studio Demolish Games SA.
World War II: Underground is a first-person stealth action game that focuses on the single player experience. The game is set in the reality of World War II, when a large part of Europe was under the ruthless and barbaric occupation of the Nazi-ruled Third Reich.
The player slips into the role of a partisan, a member of the underground resistance movement who carries out missions against the occupiers. The creators promise that the varied gameplay will comprehensively reflect the peculiarities of the partisan operations against the Nazis in the years 1939-1945. The player will also take care of the detailed preparation and planning of the missions, which can be carried out using various methods.
The missions prepared by the developers include, for example, the theft of secret documents, the blowing up of bridges, the destruction of critical infrastructures, the sabotage of weapons factories and the elimination of certain targets.
“The Resistance Movement’s operations will be inspired by real missions carried out in Poland, Greece, the former Yugoslavia, France, Norway and other countries. We also take great care to consider the realities of the occupation and to show how the actions of the resistance movement affect the lives of civilians. One must not forget that Nazi Germany applied collective responsibility and, for example, in occupied Poland dozens or even hundreds of innocent people were often murdered in retaliation for partisan attacks ”- says Paweł Dywelski, CEO of Demolish Games SA

Demolish Games SA advises that the game is currently in a very early production stage and the PC (Steam) release date for World War II: Underground has not yet been set. A release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Nintendo Switch is also planned.
