Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition was released in 2020 and has been innovating classic RTS gameplay ever since. December 1 will be available on Steam and Microsoft Store Mexican civilization as the most strategically diverse civilization. Emerged as a result of a fierce uprising against Spanish colonial rule, the young Mexican nation established itself and triumphed despite numerous revolutions and invasions.

In Age III: DE, growing Mexican states can choose Rebellion instead of moving into the Serf, Industrial, or Imperial Ages. Each uprising offers you a whole new deck full of possibilities. Unlike any other civilization, Mexico can reverse its rebellions and return to civilization while retaining access to the benefits of any cards sent during the revolution. Add to that a whole new set of federal states to evolve your gameplay, and Mexican civilization can adapt to any strategic situation like no other.

Fans of the historical battles of Age III DE will receive a new scenario unique to the Mexico civilization expansion:

“Grito de Dolores”. As the Bourbon reforms gave the Spanish elite more power and diminished the power of the church, discontent grew among the Mexican rural population. When news of Napoleon Bonaparte’s conquest of Spain reached America, the words of a Catholic priest sparked the revolution.

The histories of Mexico and the neighboring United States are deeply intertwined and marked by many decisive battles. On December 1, all owners of the previously released United States Civilization DLC will receive the historical battle “The Burning of Philadelphia Frigate” for free (even if they do not own the Mexico DLC).

Finally, owners of the United States Civilization and Mexico DLC will have access to another historic battle: the Battle of Queenston Heights. This scenario will be available to owners of both DLCs, even if they purchase each DLC separately.

Starting December 1, players will be able to take part in 31 game challenges and earn unique profile badges. Players who complete all 31 challenges will receive unique skins for in-game explorers.
