Space Roguelike Developers Risk of Rain 2 from Hopoo Games have revealed the name of the latest major expansion for their game – Survivors of the Void. Its release is scheduled for 2022.
The new DLC brings the Simulacrum mode to the title, in which you have to fend off waves of enemies. The addon takes place in the simulation of the Void. The regime has no final: each race always ends with the death of the player.
After overcoming the next wave, you are given three items to choose from, and in some rounds a random mutator may be activated. Scattered around the map are boxes with items that can be searched and found useful equipment. Also, after passing every fifth wave, a boss appears.
Release Risk of Rain 2 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in March 2019. But on next-gen consoles, the game is backward compatible.
