The free DLC for Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance brings a new map, new bosses and more to the game.
The free DLC for Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance has been released. Also included is the new card “The Crystal Spirits”, which contains three acts with new cutscenes, new items, new bosses and a new trophy in the game.
In addition, bug fixes and more were made to the role-playing game from Tuque Games with a major update.

Balance
- Frightened buffed: from -50 percent to -60 percent physical damage
- The Level 5 Elemental Resistance Elixir and Level 5 Resistance Elixir now have advantages over their Level 4 versions
- Catti-Brie’s Full Roundhouse Movement now has a chance to grant Elemental Adept
- The damage of Kelvin’s “Pillar of Ice” attack has been increased
- Akar Kessell’s meteor swarm damage has been increased
- Duergar Bomber Timed Bombs damage has been decreased and virulence increased
- Increased loot probability for higher rarities in all levels of difficulty
- The chance of preferred sets per act has been increased from 20 percent to 33 percent
- The recommended values for combat strength have been updated to reflect the new balance and feedback
- Reduced damage increase from 50 percent to 30 percent for Mighty Strikes (in line with the changes to Weak and Cursed)
- Combat strength bonuses from feats no longer stack after using skills that empower characters
General bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where sometimes the loot could not be picked up after opening a large chest in a multiplayer session
- Fixed an issue where after skipping a short pause, players would not be able to manually skip subsequent short pauses
- Fixed an issue where small chests would not always refill used usable slots after they were opened during the course of the title
- Fixed an issue where players would occasionally be unable to grab loot dropped by opponents
- Fixed an issue where players were sometimes unable to increase the rarity of loot after abandoning a brief rest at campfires throughout the title on PS4
- Multiple moves from the bomber’s moveset no longer cause damage for all types
Akar Kessel stops responding when spawning near a fallen player - Players can no longer be shackled behind magical barriers
- Useables can no longer be used during loading screens
- Two Booyaghs are no longer invisible when spawning as reinforcements in the Companions of Icewind Dale Act 1 boss fight
- Players can no longer equip healing potions to resolve an issue where the “Drink a Healing Potion” learning objective could not be completed if the player did not equip healing potions before entering the Trials of Tempus
- Fixed an issue where repeatedly pressing the Sort button would freeze the Journal menu
- The title now recognizes the original controller if a second controller is not connected
- Kessell’s Meteor Swarm markers no longer spawn above the ground
- Players can now help other players if they are trapped in a Verbeeg trap
- Icebiter can no longer be instantly defeated if pushed through a wall during the final encounter in Act 2 of the Goblin Shard
- Skornn Soulreaver can no longer be exploited and defeated without reacting to the player character
- The Booyagh’s projectile attack now deals damage to players in multiplayer
- The Duergar Spirit Master’s hex ball attack now deals damage to players in multiplayer mode
- The troll’s rock projectile now deals damage to players in multiplayer
The depleted debuff now affects players - Hamboog does the correct animation instead of sliding as it spins in place
- Goblin Captains, Duergars, and Gnoll Hunters perform the correct animation instead of sliding in place when they face the player
- The primary stat of Wulfgar’s Necrotic Resistance Hammer correctly indicates attack damage instead of armor
- Catti-Brie’s charged Fierce Attacks do not count towards the “Defeat Monsters with Fierce Attacks” objective in Trials of Tempus
- Catti-Brie’s Goblin Reaper Set now gives the correct amount of critical hits
- Characters are no longer immune to environmental hazards when their elemental resistance is equal to or greater than 100
- Trophies earned in a previous save file will no longer be visible in Kelvin’s Quarry on a subsequent new save file
- The Icewind boss no longer moves aside after being loaded into the The Fury of Icewind Act 3 boss fight
- Fixed issues where some red outlined attacks could be blocked or parried
- Kinetic Thrust now nudges players in the Crystalline Dreams Act 3 boss fight
Hordebreaker now gives a bonus to physical damage when Catti-brie is surrounded by 3 enemies instead of 4 - Goblin Bane’s 8 bonus now extends all taunt effects
- The Goblin Elemental Archer’s projectile will now appear when fired in multiplayer
- Fixed excessive and missing collisions on all maps
- Objects that clip each other and missing, inconsistent or stretched textures on objects have been fixed
- Fixed dark textures on the wooden floor near Area B1 in Verbeeg Jamboree Act 2
- The Remorhaz Brotherhood thigh guards are no longer visible during Drizzt’s Blink ability
- Added support for a ladder in the second encounter in ‘Wrath of the Ice Wind’, Act 2
- Catti-Brie’s arrows AOE damage no longer lasts for a few seconds after impact
- AOE and VFX effects of the Duergar bomber projectile no longer match
- The 3D model no longer remains in the skin preview position when you change the menu options at the dealer
- Unusual and epic Underdark stealth bracelets now display correct stats
Equipment pelts will no longer appear as blocks with stretched textures - Magic barriers now have transition animations when disabled in multiplayer
- Catti-brie’s 8-piece Alustriels Gift Set Bonus will now be applied correctly
- Fixed gear clipping caused by character models
KI
- Fixed an issue where in some encounters enemies would only react if the player character was very close to them
- Sword Spirits will no longer lock in place if the player exits the navmesh while performing an attack
- The Verbeeg boss in Companions of Icewind Dale Act 1 can now use the stairs to approach the player character
Audio
- Missing sounds have been added
- The trader’s initial skirmish will no longer play every time a player returns to Kelvin’s Cairn
- The SFX for charging Catti-Brie’s bow will no longer play for all targeting attacks by other characters
- The sound to trigger a team attack is now played for the correct character
- Pressing and holding the X and / or B buttons on a controller no longer plays the short pause SFX when you are in other areas of the track
Localization
- Fixed inconsistencies between the text and the voice output for world map mission texts in all languages
- Fixed incorrect translations in other languages
Matchmaking and Networking
- Fixed an issue where players would sometimes get a “Failed to join session” error message when trying to return to Kelvin’s Cairn in multiplayer
- Fixed issues where players could disconnect from the session when exiting the level on PlayStation consoles
- Fixed issues where players on Xbox consoles could not connect to multiplayer sessions
- Fixed rare crashes on Xbox and PlayStation consoles
- The lobby now only switches to “Public” or “Friends” when a new host tries to change the setting on PlayStation consoles
- Fixed an issue where, in rare cases, players would be disconnected after attempting to join a session via Quickplay
- Fixed lag spikes after completing certain quest objectives in the title
- On the PC, starting the title via an invitation or the friends menu now leads to a multiplayer session
Performance and stability
- Fixed a crash that could occur after receiving the inactivity prompt on a card
- Fixed crashes on Xbox One consoles that occurred in multiplayer mode.
Fixed a massive FPS drop that occurred when player characters were hit by Akar Kessel’s cloudkill attack - Die Performance in The Fury of Icewind, Crystalline Dreams und The Order of the One Light wurde verbessert
