For the second year in a row, Free Fire won the Best Mobile Esports Game of the Year nomination at the prestigious 2021 Esports Awards, despite the fact that the project had very serious competitors: PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends, Call of Duty : Mobile, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Garena’s Lead Esports Manager Justin Lye, speaking at the award ceremony, noted that the team proudly accepts the honor and dedicates this victory to the global Free Fire community, namely players, spectators and partners. Along the way, Justin expressed gratitude to the whole team for the excellent work done, without which this success would not have been possible, and also expressed confidence that this achievement will give the Garena esports direction even more confidence and motivation to achieve even more significant results next year.
The prestigious award is not the only thing that Free Fire can boast in 2021: the game managed to set an impressive new world record for esports – over 5.4 million concurrent viewers at the peak of the Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore. Along with this, the game became the first mobile battle royale to reach over a billion downloads on Google Play.
Free Fire and Free Fire MAX are available to everyone completely free of charge for downloading on mobile devices in the App Store and Google Play.
