According to Jeremy Renner, who recently starred in Hawkeye, he has no plans to re-watch Avengers: Endgame. In conversation with BBC Radio 1 the actor explained that it was very emotional for him.
I saw the movie at the premiere, but it was kind of a celebration for all of us. We all laughed and wiped away our tears … I will never watch it again. It’s too difficult … The experience itself was great, we felt like ordinary spectators. It’s nice and beautiful to share these moments with your friends.
Avengers: Endgame put an end to the Marvel Studios Infinity saga, saying goodbye not only to Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., but also to Captain America, played by Chris Evans. Scarlett Johansson has appeared in the solo movie Black Widow, but she will no longer be in the main MCU line either for obvious reasons.
As for Renner, the premiere of “Hawkeye” has already taken place, and in the show he will be a key character, mentor of Kate Bishop played by Hayley Steinfeld. This format will allow you to get to know the hero much closer, who has definitely not been given enough time in the films.
Florence Pugh and possibly Vincent D’Onofrio will also appear in the series.
