The creator of the SteamDB database Pavel Dzhundik drew attention to the fact that a new Ubisoft Connect client has been added to Steam. He suggested that the French publisher is going to return to the store and will release new games there.
Ubisoft Connect PC Client was added to Steam’s default package (all accounts have access to this by default), are new Ubisoft games coming to Steam?https://t.co/K6TRlJWPa3

In the comments, users suggested several options, one of which seems realistic. The exclusive deal between Ubisoft and Epic Games is ending, so the publisher returns to the platform to make their games more accessible to PC players. Ubisoft Connect isn’t going anywhere, but the player base is set to expand.
Ubisoft games have not been released on Steam since 2019.
Perhaps this was somehow influenced by the imminent release of the Steam Deck, or maybe it’s just a coincidence. Or, as they joked on Reddit, Yves Guillemot saw how much money Microsoft made after joining Steam and decided that he also needed additional income.
Valve and Ubisoft are silent.
