In the technological market there is a certain fascination for transparent gadgets that allow us to see their internal components. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer brands choose this path, but what if Apple launched some transparent AirPods?
The answer to this question comes to us through Giulio Zompetti and his account on the social network Twitter. There, this collector shared rare images of a pair of transparent AirPods.
According to what he put in the image description, it’s a portrait of a prototype of Apple’s popular wireless headsets. There we can see the density of components that the American has to put inside the AirPods for them to have the features we know well.
In a gadget so small and with so much technology associated, it is difficult to discern details of the images made public. Still, I believe that this product would have immense success in the market if it were commercialized.
This pair was likely taken off the AirPod production line in an unfinished state. Or it means that Apple had some intention in producing a transparent headset, but for some reason canceled its launch.

In addition to the transparent AirPods, Zompetti also reveals images of a transparent wall adapter from the American company. It is a prototype of a 29 W Apple charger.
Currently, it seems unlikely that Apple will bring to market some of its products with a transparent box. Still, this was a reality in their portfolio in the 1990s.
Remember the mythical iMac G3 with a translucent rear that gave its owners the pleasure to observe the machine’s components. This was, in fact, one of the reasons that made this computer so iconic.
In that same decade, there were several brands that bet on products with transparent casings. From consoles to phones, there was no shortage of products that looked so fascinating.
