Early comments from the head of the company were misunderstood.
Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger at a technology conference Swiss credit was forced to explain to investors that the expectations of the corporation’s management from progress in the next five years are not so high. When the company reported its results for the quarter in October and made a forecast for revenue growth for the next five years, many investors felt that this forecast was out of touch with reality. Considering that Intel will spend at least $ 28 billion only on the construction of new enterprises in the coming years, then it will need a lot of investments, and analysts did not find it entirely justified to calculate an annual revenue growth of 10-15%.

The head of the corporation had to make excuses and clarify that the same 10-15% per year would not be provided by the PC market alone. The company does not believe that the segment of personal computers will grow in the coming years by more than 5-7% annually, the rest of the revenue growth will be provided by promising businesses like the same Mobileye with its autopilot or solutions for 5G generation communication networks. By the way, the server segment in this forecast is added to the PC market, and by itself it will grow by 10-15% annually. In fact, according to the head of Intel, even if the consumer computer market is simply stable, the expected growth rate will be achieved due to the server direction. If we talk about the PC market, then it is unlikely to collapse from the level of 350 million annually sold computers and laptops in the coming years, according to Gelsinger.
