Repair work on Battlefield 2042 continues. Update 3 is already being released today, which should bring improvements, optimizations and new features with it.
After all, even if everything does not run smoothly in Battlefield 2042, the developers at DICE are apparently trying to get everything done fairly quickly. Update 3 for the shooter is already released today and that brings a lot with it, including bug fixes and optimizations, but also new weekly missions and portal options.
Perhaps the most important innovation is the weekly missions. A first package of three missions should start in the coming week. As a reward for the individual missions there is of course XP, if you master all three missions, you unlock cosmetic rewards.
Battlefield Portal gets a number of new options, including new layouts for Rush on all-out warfare maps, builder templates and team deathmatch with vehicles as a new mode. There are also new options and extensions for the rule editor, so that you have more options for creating your own matches.
Further revisions concern the collection menus, but work has also been done on the user interface in the matches. After Update 3, another patch will follow in December, which will contain bug fixes and optimizations to the balancing. The complete Update 3 patch notes meanwhile, check out the Battlefield 2042 official website. But bring some time, the patch log is damn long.
