Nvidia is preparing to launch a budget graphics card GeForce RTX 3050 on the market, VideoCardz reports, citing an insider hongxing2020, who previously published reliable data. The card is expected to go on sale on January 27, 2022.
According to an insider, the GeForce RTX 3050 will receive a model with 8 gigabytes of GDDR6 memory. The card is supposed to have a 128-bit data bus.
According to other sources, the GeForce RTX 3050 is aimed at gaming at resolutions no higher than 1080p. The card’s competitors can be the Radeon RX 6500 XT and Intel Arc A128, the card will be faster in performance than the GeForce GTX 1660 Super.
If the insider data is correct, then in the coming months Nvidia will launch several video cards at once:
- December 7, 2021: GeForce RTX 2060 12GB.
- January 11, 2022: GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB and GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB.
- January 27, 2022: GeForce RTX 3050.
So far, Nvidia has only confirmed the release of the GeForce RTX 2060 with 12 gigabytes of video memory.
