In April of this year, TCL unveiled the Fold ‘n Roll smartphone concept, which can be folded or rolled up, allowing you to choose from three sizes and form factors when using the device. However, only video renders of the device were shown in April, and now TCL has unveiled a working prototype of the product.

A video filmed at the DTC 2021 in Shenzhen has surfaced on the web showing a fully working prototype of the Fold ‘n Roll. A short video shows that the hardware is ready, but the interface still needs to be worked on. The Fold ‘n Roll is flexible enough to combine three devices at once: a 6.87-inch smartphone, an 8.85-inch compact tablet, and a full-size 10-inch tablet.
Unfortunately, TCL said the device shown in the video is intended to showcase the capabilities of its display design and manufacturing subsidiary CSOT. We are not talking about the release of a serial smartphone of a similar design.
