Director Yevgeny Mitta shared a previously unreleased short documentary project of his father Alexander. The tape is called “Clowns and Children”, and the main role was played by the cult Soviet actor Yuri Nikulin.
Filmed in 1977, the film is about how children interact with clowns. According to the plot, the clown comes to different places, including hospitals, where he gives performances to sick children, arranging a real show for them.
Mikhail Shuydin, Stanislav Shchukin, Valery Serebryakov and Stanislav Doleky also appear in the film. You can watch it on Yevgeny Mitta’s YouTube channel.
