PSG.LGD found no evidence of foul play by coach Zhang “xiao8” Ning.
On December 1, LGD opened an investigation and suspended xiao8 from working with the team. During the investigation, the club’s commission checked Nina’s accounts, his phone and the history of financial transactions.
“There is no inappropriate behavior in our club’s Dota 2 division that affects the fairness of the game, and there is no attempt to influence the outcome of the game in a manner that violates sports ethics,” PSG.LGD said in a Weibo statement.
If in the next three days the club does not receive any other evidence of xiao8’s involvement in betting on matches, the PSG.LGD management will reinstate the coach.
After the end of TI10, the ex-wife accused the coach of cheating with fans and betting on PSG.LGD matches, both on and against her team. On October 22, a Chinese hacker reported that he hacked into Xiao8’s account and said that he was betting on PSG.LGD matches.
