Genshin Impact has taken the gaming industry by storm with a player base that continues to grow every day. Unlike most open world games, Genshin Impact’s frequent updates keep content fresh with a constant level of hype and anticipation for new content.
Rumor leaks are slowly becoming part of the gaming experience when it comes to Genshin Impact. The popular subreddit Genshin_Impact_Leaks has already amassed a staggering 170,000 subscribers.
Each Genshin Impact update has its own beta phase, which usually starts after the arrival of the previous patch. Beta phase 2.5 began on the day of the official launch of the Genshin Impact 2.4 update. The beta usually contains most of the content that players will encounter once the update hits live servers. However, a recent tweet from a credible leak revealed that the beta tester was fined $ 78,000 for leaking frames from the current 2.5 beta phase. Apparently, one of the leaks contained his UID (Unique Identifier), which allowed miHoYo to track his account.
While miHoYo appears to be against disclosing their content prior to the official announcement, it’s safe to say that the leaks have a lot of positives as well. They help generate a lot of hype for new characters even months before they join the playable roster.
Developer miHoYo has now presented an interesting layout for new characters even before the beta arrives, likely because they will be leaked anyway on the first day.
