After several months since the release of Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite on Steam, things are not going well, and the games themselves are slowly dying. According to data compiled by SteamDB, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite have lost over 80% of their players since release.
At launch, Halo Infinite’s online multiplayer mode on Steam hit a record 272,586 concurrent players, but now that number has dropped sharply, and at peak times is barely 46,000 players. At the moment, the number of active players in the game is only 12,647 people. It’s worth noting that Halo Infinite’s online mode is free.
The situation with Forza Horizon 5 is similar, if in the early days on Steam the number of active players reached 81,096, but now the game barely reaches 16,000 people. The situation is even worse when compared with Forza Horizon 4, which currently has more players (14,350) than its sequel (13,589).
It remains a mystery why these two games lost popularity so quickly, perhaps due to a lack of content or because they quickly get tired of them.
