It seems that in the case of the sequel, Techland expects at least a repetition of the situation. At least, this is directly hinted at by the plan for content support for the game published today by the developers for at least five years after the release.
The details of these five years of updates have not yet been shared with us, but they have mentioned that Dying Light 2 will be replenished with in-game events, receive new locations, storylines and various items such as weapons and equipment.
