At the very bottom of a long post on the IO interactive website, another interesting piece of information has been posted that will be coming to Hitman 3. The new map, currently codenamed Rocky, will be located on a tropical island or perhaps deep in the heart of the jungle. So far, almost no details have been given about the new map, but the developers have provided a picturesque screenshot of the map: “Agent 47 just does not stop traveling.” More details on the new map codenamed “Rocky” will be revealed at a later date.”
Although the developers have not directly stated the details of Rocky, some information can be obtained from the screenshot of the map. In the screenshot, you can see that the spotlight is illuminating a wooden rope bridge between the entrance to the jungle and, apparently, some kind of fortification or settlement. A river flows under the bridge, and palm trees grow nearby. Also, as the name of the map suggests, this new map has a lot of rocks. However, how this map will make it into Hitman 3 is still an open question. Some have even speculated that it could be the map used in the recently announced Hitman VR for PC, which is already available on PlayStation VR.
The constant and major content updates for the recent Hitman trilogy are one of the many reasons fans still love the adventures of Agent 47. In addition to major anniversary content updates, there are smaller updates throughout the year, such as Christmas content added last December of the year. Despite the fans’ love for the game, some feel that it is still underrated as Hitman 3 was not nominated for the 2021 Game of the Year award.
