While James Cameron is preparing a sequel to Avatar, the Chinese Archosaur Games rushed in and, together with Level Infinite, announced the mobile MMO shooter Avatar: Reckoning.
It is created on the Unreal Engine 4 engine with the support of Tencent and Disney and includes three modes: single-player story missions, co-op and PvP in the form “dynamic multiplayer matches”. Fans will see new corners of Pandora and enter the battle for the planet as a Na’vi warrior against the fighters of the RDA corporation. The character will gain levels, and among the available equipment there is a weapon.
The developers promised advanced graphics, coupled with a gameplay adapted to touch screens. The first to see the project this month as part of the PTA will be the owners of smartphones from Canada.
The film will debut on December 15, and Massive and Ubisoft are also preparing a game in the universe – Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which is scheduled for release in 2022.
Avatar: Reckoning is coming to Android and iOS this year.
