While we wait for news about the future of Dragon Age we can console ourselves with the fan remake di Dragon Age Inquisition made with Unreal Engine 5 by an avid gamer of the series. The result? Certainly interesting.
Dragon Age Inquisition came out in 2014 as a cross-gen project based on DIC’s Frostbite EngineAnd, the willingness to rebuild the game in Unreal Engine 5 is certainly commendable. At the moment the developers have only reproduced the area called The Crow Fens, we do not know how far the team will go considering that the project is unlikely to be completed not only for the numerous technical challenges but also for copyright problems.
It is true that this fan remake does not help us understand what the graphics of the next game in the series will look like since Dragon Age 4 will most likely use the Frostbite engine and not the Unreal Engine 5. We can consider the work a “simple“exercise of style perhaps an end in itself but certainly pleasant to see.
Dragon Age 4 (working title) it still lacks a launch date, BioWare is working not only on the fantasy series but also on the next Mass Effect, two ambitious projects for the future of the studio, apparently in crisis in recent years and which has had to deal with the Anthem flop.
