The trailer for the Russian full-length cartoon “Pinocchio. The True Story” is presented on the SonyPicturesRU YouTube channel. At the same time, it is worth noting that the main character speaks in the tape in the voice of Dmitry Iosifov, who played Pinocchio in Nechaev’s 1975 film.
The synopsis of a new reading of one of the most famous fairy tales is as follows. Pinocchio, created by the hands of the carpenter Geppetto, runs away from home and joins a traveling circus led by the treacherous businessman Mojafoco. Having made the talking doll the highlight of the program, the vile Mojafoko collects full halls in each city along the way, and at this time his assistants, the Cat and the Fox, are cleaning the houses of the townspeople. And Pinocchio has no idea about this, of course. Ibo is blinded – the doll falls in love with the young aerialist Bella, Mojafoko’s adopted daughter. Yes, but the chances of achieving reciprocity are not enough, because it is wooden. And then the old clown Fantozzi advises Pinocchio to go to the sorceress Lucilda, who knows how to help him.
There is also a talking horse here – now we don’t have a talking horse at all.
