Microsoft is reportedly planning to release some Activision content exclusively on the Xbox platform.
Never again Call of Duty for the PlayStation? No Overwatch 2 for Sony consoles? Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision-Blizzard raises a number of questions.
Which Activision Blizzard games will be playable on other platforms in the future?
Microsoft certainly already has plans for this, but for strategic and legal reasons it will certainly only announce them in bits and pieces. Likewise, the deal must first be finalized.
As Bloomberg reports, Microsoft plans to continue releasing some of Activision’s games for PlayStation consoles.
But it also means that some content should be kept exclusively for the Xbox, as one wants to have learned from a person close to the group.
The next few months will be exciting when we learn about Microsoft’s exclusivity plans for individual series or new games.
