The arrival in force of 100% electric vehicles happened largely thanks to the North American Tesla. After all, this company has shown that heavy family cars equipped with electric motors, with a lot of comfort and safety in the mix, are capable of putting even great super sports to shame. In fact, this is a constant in the electrical world and the numbers are increasingly impressive.
That said, we now have new, even more powerful versions of the Tesla Model S Plaid, and of course, the Model X Plaid. In a nutshell, these are models that have come to steal the throne again as the fastest production car and SUV ever.
So, on to the official numbers!
Well, the Tesla Model X Plaid has now won the title of production SUV with the fastest acceleration in the world today. With official numbers that guarantee acceleration from 0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds and the passage in 400m in 9.9 seconds.
Having said all this, know that we are not talking about a light vehicle here. With six seats and the famous hawk doors, the new Model X Plaid also weighs 2,444 kg. Still, despite its size and ground clearance, it manages a drag coefficient of 0.24, which is a good performance in aerodynamics.

However, there are always those who do not believe the official numbers, and with good reason. After all, we now have a video of a Youtuber who decided to put this SUV’s numbers to the test.
With the use of a Racelogic stopwatch it was possible to capture an acceleration of this Model X Plaid of 1,020 horsepower of 2.3s dos 0-100km/h and on a second try the result was 2.5 seconds. A curious fact is that the car is respectively at 65% and 64% battery.
In short, Tesla came back in force to secure the title of the fastest-accelerating production Crossover SUV ever. A feat that puts all rivals below the offer of this American manufacturer that does not disappoint when it comes to acceleration performance.
