indie developer and publisher The Matte Black Studio has unveiled an announcement trailer for its upcoming 2D action-adventure titled Lucid.
Open your own legend in LUCID. Players will have to go on a journey through the crystal world, torn apart by disaster. Consume powerful abilities that unlock new moves and improve combat against a variety of enemies and bosses, all in stunning pixel art inspired by the golden age of 2D side-scrolling.
After the Great Fall and the destruction of the Enlightened Giant, the world of the Edin succumbed to corruption. Only dwindling Guardians remain to guard the delicate balance. In the role of Oenn, you will explore this ruined world and fulfill a solemn promise. Climb the chilly Onyx Ridge, pass through the claustrophobic Crystal Caverns, or descend into the darkness from the gloom of Welltown.
Among the key features of the project, the authors note: a classic platformer in colorful pixel graphics, an extensive set of tricks, exploration of a vast world and an original soundtrack in the spirit of the cold beats of DK Country and the pulsating electro-rock of Mega Man X.
Release Lucid scheduled for January 2024 year for PC.
