The guys from SEEP pluck the strings of nostalgia for Ghosts’ n Goblins fans by announcing the console version, exclusively Switch, of Swords & Bones, an action platform in pixel art already available from March 2021 on PC and destined to land on eShop in course of 2022.
Produced in collaboration with RedDeerGames, the title places fans of the genre in the shoes (or rather, in the armor) of a brave knight called to fight hordes of monsters, skeletons and ghosts.
The references to the series of Ghosts ‘n Goblins and the adventures of Castlevania are reiterated by the developers of SEEP themselves in the sheet that illustrates the contents of their fantasy adventure in hack ‘n slash sauce: before reaching the end credits it will be necessary to overcome over 50 levels, 6 bosses and two endings to be unlocked by taking the relative narrative crossroads.
To get the best of this host of creatures, the hero will be able to count on a constantly evolving arsenal and on the help of merchants, sorcerers and NPCs who, for the price of a few gold coins, will provide spells, weapons and various upgrades . All this, rebuilt with 16-bit style pixel art graphics and a chiptune soundtrack.
We therefore remain waiting to know the date official launch of the Switch version of this intriguing retro-platformer. In the meantime, we leave you in the company of the latest Swords & Bones video.
