The largest marketplace in Latin America, Mercado Libre, has declared war on sellers of counterfeit Apple gadgets and accessories on its platform.
Merchants who list their products on Mercado Libre (similar to Ozon, Wildberries, etc.) have begun receiving emails warning them of a possible block for selling counterfeit Apple products. If the marketplace catches the seller, for example, with fake AirPods, then all the author’s ads for the sale of Apple gadgets will be removed from the platform. In addition, Mercado Libre will prevent the account from selling any of the company’s products in the future.
Apple itself will verify the authenticity of accessories and gadgets.
