Valve has announced the introduction of a new Steamworks feature called Steam Cloud Dynamic Sync. It allows players to seamlessly transition between their Steam Deck and PC gaming sessions without having to log out of their Steam Deck game.
Also, with the help of a new feature, Steam will automatically upload all modified saves to the cloud before the device goes into sleep mode. After that, users will be able to resume the game on any device.
According to Valve, Steam will monitor game save data on the Steam Deck for changes even if the user has dynamic sync turned off.
However, players who put the Steam Deck to sleep while you are playing and then try to continue playing on another device will either be forced to either go back to the Steam Deck and end their game session first, or continue playing without saving their last game progress.
The dynamic sync feature will be free and will only appear in games whose developers choose to enable it.
Earlier, Valve shared a preliminary list of titles that are fully compatible with Steam Deck. So far there are 38.
