Tonight we proposed the first tests on the battery, noise and temperatures of Steam Deck by the YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips, but this is not the only news regarding the new portable console from Valve. In fact, the results of the first tests on the games appeared on the net this evening.
These interesting road tests of the console always come from the official channel of Linus Sebastian, who had the opportunity to test seven different games provided directly by Valve for the first tests on the Steam Deck: Dead Cells, Devil May Cry 5, Ghostrunner, Forza Horizon 5, Control, Portal 2 and Street Fighter V.
Here are the results of the tests carried out in the video:
- Control (graphics settings on “low”): averages 59.5 fps in Auto mode and 56.9 fps in High mode
- Devil May Cry 5 (graphics settings on “medium” with FXAA + TAA): averages 86.2 fps in Auto mode and 84.7 fps in High mode
- Ghostrunner (graphics settings on “medium” in DirectX 11 and with blur disabled): averages 81.2 fps in Auto mode and 74.7 fps in High mode
- Ghostrunner (graphics settings on “medium” in DirectX 12 and with blur disabled): averages 89.8 fps in Auto mode and 82 fps in High mode
- Dead Cells: averages 164.7 fps in Auto mode and 159 fps in High mode
- Forza Horizon 5 (graphics settings on “low”): 60 fps average in both Auto and High modes
According to the words of the content creator, all software runs very well and the small screen size they help not to perceive too much the lower level of detail. The only negative note was made on Forca Horizon 5, which net of 60fps reached suffers from some graphic tricks that make the experience not perfect.
Before leaving you to the movie, we remind you that the release date of Steam Deck is set for next February 25, 2022.
