Less than a year later, stylish 2D action roguelite GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is leaving Steam Early Access for a full v1.0 release. Developers from Guru Guru thanked the players for the few feedback and promised to continue to support the game, perhaps even with content.
Since the early access release, the game has received numerous balance changes, several new levels, a playable female character, and many types of weapons and devices.
For those who have forgotten GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon one of Konami’s old franchises, the first Getsu Fuuma Den game was released in 1987 (as a clone of another famous franchise) exclusively for the Famicom. Instead of Dracula, the protagonist (based on a real historical character of the 16th century – the ninja Fuma Kotaro) had to avenge the death of his brothers, a demon called the Dragon Master. The game was notable for its hardcore and visual style.
Continuation Undying Moon boasts a modest price tag of 465 rubles, a good combat system, a roguelite component, hardcore bosses and, of course, a visual style that animates traditional art prints ukiyo-e XVII-XIX centuries.
The game will release on February 16, 2022 on Steam. And according to some information and on other platforms.
