While new fan theories emerge on the actual size of the Elden Ring map, probably larger than hypothesized, here are many new details on some important features of the FromSoftware title.
We start with the classes, which will be more numerous than seen in the Closed Network Test a few months ago. According to the words of those who tested the game, among the selectable classes there is also one that corresponds to the Discriminate of Dark Souls (or the Waste of oxygen of Bloodborne). This class is called Wretch and starts at level 1, with 10 points in each of the character’s stats. Apparently, moreover, just like in the other FromSoftware games, it will be possible to select a special gift during the character creation phase with which to start the adventure. Among the objects available as gifts we find the Crimson Amber Medallion (useful for recovering HP), the Golden Seed (serves to improve the healing flasks) and the Land Between Rune (equivalent of souls, provides the player with the resources to level).
As for the map, the existence of Caelid, a desert portion of the map where players are invaded by an NPC named Anastasia. Then there is theUnderground, a place not present on the map and described as the Upside Down of Stranger Things due to the particular style of the sky. The Rountable Hold instead, it is the central hub, from which players can quickly move to other locations, learn spells and upgrade statistics and equipment.
