Mark Gurman, Bloomberg Apple expert, is confident that Apple plans to introduce a huge number of new devices this year. New products will include the Apple Watch Series 8 line, iPhone 14 and the new iPad Pro, but the main focus, according to Gurman, will be on the new Macs.
This is due to the fact that Apple is embarking on the third stage of a comprehensive modernization of computers, which includes the complete abandonment of Intel chips in favor of Apple Silicon. For the first time, the transition to proprietary processors began in 2020 with the M1 versions of the MacBook Pro, Mac mini and MacBook Air. It continued into 2021 with the M1 iMac, M1 Pro, and M1 Max MacBook Pro.
Recent documents confirm that we should expect new Macs very soon. Apple has added three new Mac models to the Eurasian Economic Commission database.
Gurman expects that the company will hold an event for the media on March 8th. The presentation will likely include the announcement of the third-generation 5G iPhone SE and fifth-generation iPad Air, and expect at least one new Mac on that day. In total, this year Apple is going to release five new Mac computers:

Apple wants to enlist developer support for the super-powerful Mac Pro chips, so Gurman believes that the company wants to introduce this model as early as the WWDC event in June and start shipping in the fall. In turn, the updated MacBook Air will be a good pre-holiday product, so it makes sense to release it at this time of year – even if Apple originally planned to release it at a different time.
Thus, the fall presentation of Apple should be the largest in the history of the company in terms of the number of products presented, although Apple can still divide the presentation of new products into several events. Gurman’s sources say that Apple is already preparing for the next release of Mac computers in May or June.
