Above an indie strategy game with tower defense elements The Riftbreaker have worked continuously since its release. Steam in October 2021. Since then it has been sold more than 350 thousand copies of the game, and overall it was received very well with 92% positive feedback from users. Therefore, it is only logical that the fans were looking forward to what will happen next, and in their blog post Steam, EXOR Studios revealed new details on updates Riftbreaker.
With almost every patch, the campaign Riftbreaker improved. However, there are new features such as a completely new economy management screen that will give players a “new degree of control” over what goes into and out of their bases. Players will be able to manage their buildings with a screen that will also show what resources are being used, where the energy is coming from, and what is consuming the most energy.
As for the survival mode, it will undergo a major balance revision. Players will see a greater variety of enemy attacks and a more gradual increase in difficulty over time, which is good news. This causes Survival Mode to get updated research trees, increasing the strategic potential of the mode.
An in-game content distribution service is coming soon, giving players on all platforms around the world access to share and upload custom content. It will take some time, which, of course, is unpleasant, but understandable. To make it easier to create these mods, updating the game’s editing tools should happen much sooner.
The journey of the Riftbreaker is just beginning. While it may seem like we’re working on several big things at the same time (and we are), the work is structured and evenly distributed among our developers. You can expect small, regular stability and quality of life updates every couple of weeks, leading to the next item on our roadmap, World Expansion I. It’s going to be an absolute blast, so be sure to stay tuned – we can’t wait to share it with you.
Currently Riftbreaker available in Steam.
