WhatsApp developers are testing the possibility of conducting surveys in groups, according to the WABetaInfo portal.
Mentions of the innovation were found in the new beta version of the messenger for iOS. The screenshots posted by WABetaInfo show the process of setting up polls.
Based on the description, polls will only be available in WhatsApp groups and will be end-to-end encrypted. In other words, only members of the group will be able to see the poll and the results.
It is worth noting that group polls appeared in the competing Telegram messenger back in 2018. When WhatsApp will launch surveys for all users is still unknown.
