The Galaxy S22 Ultra was officially launched at the end of February by Samsung. It hits the market to win over Android users with all the scrolls of an ‘Ultra’ and design reminiscent of the Note line. Now it has broken a Guinness record.
In what the brand refers to as “epic unboxing,” Samsung has set the record for most people unboxing simultaneously, in multiple locations. The feat was celebrated on social media, with photographs to prove it.
Samsung gathered 1820 users to unbox the Galaxy S22 Ultra in 17 different cities
This event took place in a total of 17 different cities on the 5th of March. And the most important thing is that there were more than 1820 users who pre-purchased the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
It is good to remember that this is not the only record recently broken by Samsung. The Galaxy S22 also became the most pre-ordered Samsung devices ever with over 100,000 pre-orders in just 72 hours.
Those who participated in this “epic unboxing” event didn’t just take their new Galaxy S22 Ultra out of the box. In a limited edition box, users were also entitled to a Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 earphones.
“It’s a really big day for us and I’m extremely proud to be part of the team that organized this record-breaking event in 17 cities. I am grateful to all of our epic customers and fans who came together to make this a truly historic day for Samsung,” said Aditya Babbar, Samsung executive.
Thanks to this #EpicUnboxing, Samsung officially enters the Guinness World Record.
