Konami may be trying to redeem itself after release eFootball 2022by registering a new trademark – Pro Powerful Soccer.
Information about the registered trademark owner is listed under the name Konami Digital Entertainment Co, Ltd. An interesting point about the filed trademark is the status showing that the game is under review.
The failure of eFootball 2022 was mainly due to bugs and changes to the fundamentals of the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise. The glitches going on in the game were absolutely insane as they changed players’ uniforms, showed weird animations, and completely messed up the game’s graphics. Konami later apologized for the trouble on twitter, but fans were still disappointed.
Critics also rated the game as one of the worst, if not the worst, in the Pro Evolution Soccer series. Some players are still unsatisfied with the registered trademark as they are skeptical about Konami, but there is still hope that the upcoming Pro Powerful Soccer game will solve the problems and restore the trust of the fans again.
Konami began publishing Pro Evolution Soccer games back in 1995 under the name Winning Eleven in Japan (PES is still known as Winning Eleven in Japan today). The first official Pro Evolution Soccer game was released in 2001 in Europe. However, in America it was still known as Winning Eleven until Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.
