The entry of “Gran Turismo 7” in the PlayStation Store causes confusion among players. Accordingly, it is possible to sell cars again. This feature has not yet been discovered in the game.
With “Gran Turismo 7”, Polyphony Digital and Sony brought a largely convincing game onto the market, the races of which have been described by many players as very successful since the launch. However, “GT7” is increasingly making headlines beyond the racetrack.
Shortly after the release, many players complained that the credits paid out were enough for regular progress. But the legendary vehicles in particular are almost unattainable with average use of “Gran Turismo 7”. At the corresponding dealer, sums in the tens of millions are sometimes called up – i.e. amounts that most players should be far away from.
Can cars be sold?
Cars in “Gran Turismo 7” only rarely have to be bought in large parts, since bonus vehicles that have been won previously can usually be used at least for the orders in the café. However, many of these bonus vehicles are lying around in the garage quite uselessly. Likewise, one or the other player should be willing to drive different races with very specific vehicles, which is difficult due to the problem with the availability of credits.
Both with the excessive number of cars in the garage and with the use of rather expensive vehicles, a sale of the possessions could be useful as there would be a constant flow of money. This is where confusion has arisen. Because while the sales feature in “Gran Turismo 7” shines through its absence, the whole thing sounds different in the official product entry.
In the PlayStation Store it says in the text: “Reintroducing the legendary GT simulation mode, you can buy, tune, race and sell your way through a solo campaign while unlocking new vehicles and challenges.”
The reactions of the community are accordingly. “Isn’t that false advertising?” someone writes on Reddit. Another added, “They’ll probably add it in an update and brag about it like they’ve been listening to the fans or something.” Other players tried to use the erroneous statement as a return reason, which was not granted.
“One of the trophies is to buy 10 copies of the same car… I did that and found out I can’t sell them. What should I do with 10 Honda Fits?” asked one player.

However, improvement seems to be in sight. After the launch, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi emphasized that he wanted to make Gran Turismo 7 a game where you can enjoy a variety of cars in many different ways. At the same time, the possibility should be avoided that a player has to repeat certain events over and over again in order to get the necessary funds.
