Over time, all games released on Steam will be tested for compatibility with the Steam Deck portable console. Initially, only Valve employees were involved in such a check, now ordinary players can help them too.
Valve has launched a new feature for Steam Deck owners. The console can now ask the player for permission to inquire about the quality of games that run on Steam Deck from time to time.
A player who decides to help Valve will be able to tell the company if something is wrong with the game. The following example is given: the player is asked to confirm that a project that is fully compatible with Steam Deck really corresponds to this title.
Valve does not disclose how this information will be used. Apparently, if many players are dissatisfied with the quality of the project, the company will double-check it.
Now Valve has tested 2,000 games for compatibility with Steam Deck. In total, over 56,000 games have been released on Steam.
