Sony has been regularly revealing new details about the upcoming PSVR2 over the past few months, and while we still haven’t seen the headset and its new controller in action, some have been lucky enough to. PSVR2 was in attendance at GDC 2022 recently, and some of that information just surfaced – a nearly hour-long video of the new hardware.
The video, which is not currently publicly posted on YouTube, was seen by a Reddit user. It features several Unity staff talking about PSVR2 game development and highlighting some of its key features. More immersion and technological improvements seem to be the main theme here: improvements such as foveative rendering, higher resolution, haptic feedback in the headset, expanded field of view, new Sense controllers, and more.
As mentioned, the video, although uploaded to the official Unity YouTube page, is currently only available via a link, so it is unknown if it was intended to be shown publicly. In any case, you can watch it in full below.
