As is well known, everything in life comes to an end: Publisher Sony and developer Sucker Punch have now announced that no further patches will be released for “Ghost of Tsushima”. The recently released patch 2.18 was the last one and the further development and optimization of the action-adventure was completed.

“Ghost of Tsushima” from the development studio Sucker Punch Productions puts the players in the atmospheric feudal Japan of the Middle Ages. In 1274, the island of Tsushima was invaded by the Mongol army. The protagonist, Jin Sakai, who was trained as a samurai by his uncle, is forced to abandon his code of honor and become the “ghost” of Tsushima in order to fight the invasion by any means necessary and help save Japan from destruction.
“Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut” has been available for PS4 and PS5 since August 20, 2021 including the story expansion “The Island of Iki” and all DLCs and upgrades. “The Island of Iki” is a brand new story that follows Jin Sakai on clues to the presence of Mongols on Tsushima’s neighboring island of Iki. He soon finds himself involved in events that revive traumatic moments from his past.
