After numerous postponements and delays, the adventure film is to be released Indiana Jones 5 coming to cinemas next year. Even if there are still many months to go before the premiere, one of the actors involved is already very impressed with the work and full of praise.
Indiana Jones 5 will be “epic”.
It is about the actor Mads Mikkelsen, whom many of you probably know as Grindelwald from Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore. He will also appear on Indiana Jones 5 in a previously undisclosed role. In an interview with the magazine The Hollywood Reporter, he went on, among other things the quality of the new film and did not skimp on praise: “Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of my favorite films. It embodied that golden era of shows in the 1940s – and that’s in the fifth film, too. They borrow very heavily from the first and second films to capture the original feel and the original Indy capture it. It’s going to be very intense and epic.”
Mikkelsen impressed by Harrison Ford
As the interview progressed, Mads Mikkelsen also expressed his admiration for the Indy actor Harrison Ford to expression. Although this one now 79 years old it seems he has lost very little of his charismatic charisma and presence.
“It was the first time I met him and he’s an incredibly strong personality. Not only as an actor but also physically. I still remember the first time we filmed together. It was a night shoot and we started around 5 o’clock in the morning. After that he jumped on his mountain bike and rode 31 miles. Harrison is a monster of a man, a very nice monster.”
According to current plans, Indiana Jones 5 will premiere on June 30, 2023. So far, no specific name has been announced for the film. In any case, it is certain that James Mangold (Ford vs. Ferrari) took over the direction. In addition to Harrison Ford and Mads Mikkelsen, actor Antonio Banderas will also be on board.
