Apple has suspended the recruitment of technical support specialists at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store, Bloomberg reports.
Employees of some Apple Stores have been informed that the company will not hire people for vacant seats if Genius Bar specialists are fired.
Most likely, this decision by Apple is associated with a reduction in staff in stores with “sagging” attendance after several outbreaks of COVID-19.
Apple has not laid off employees or suspended hiring in general.
