In the Russian capital, a set of testers of the Face Pay system in land-based public transport is opening. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov.

Face Pay is a completely contactless fare payment method: passenger identification is carried out by face image. To use the service, you need to register in the Moscow Metro mobile application, attach a photo of your face, a Troika card, and a bank card with funds to pay for the fare.
“On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop payment services in public transport. In April, we tested the Face Pay technology with our employees on the bus, and now we invite passengers to join – we are recruiting a group of 100 people. Then we plan to invite even more participants and expand the testing area“, – RIA Novosti quotes the words of Mr. Liksutov.
It will be possible to test the service on the M3 route — a bus with tail number 151568 and a black Face Pay sticker. Program participants will receive a special version of the Moscow Metro application (registration in it does not allow Face Pay access in the metro).
