Users will receive 1 GB of free traffic monthly.
Microsoft decided to add the ability for its users to use a VPN service, which Google and Apple have already done. The service will be available completely free of charge to all Edge browser users.
On the support page some information has emerged that sheds light on the terms of use of VPN from Microsoft. Let’s start with the fact that it was called the Microsoft Edge Secure Network, and Cloudflare will become its provider.
It’s funny that Microsoft doesn’t call the new Edge browser feature specifically a VPN service, even though it has all of its features. A similar policy is followed, for example, by Apple with its software “feature” iCloud Private Relay (aka “Private Node”).
Microsoft Edge Secure Network is currently in preview, but after its release, Edge browser users will receive 1 GB of traffic per Microsoft account per month.

Microsoft promises that Cloudflare will only collect essential data from users (diagnostics) and delete it every 25 hours. The service itself will encrypt the user’s connection in order to protect his traffic from being tracked. It will also block attempts by local ISPs to collect data.
