Long-suffering remake “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”which was originally planned to be released at the beginning of last year, departed in hand Ubisoft Montreal – the studio responsible for the original 2003 sample.
The company did not disclose the reason for the decision, but noted that the team is now evaluating the scope of work, since the Montreal branch will build on the achievements of colleagues.
The goal of the developers is to provide fans of the original with the best possible experience. At the same time, the phrase “when the game is ready” appears in the appeal – it seems that Ubisoft Montreal will have to work for a long time.
Recall that the last time Ubisoft talked about a remake in October – then the company assured the public that development was in full swing. According to the financial report, the game should be released between April of this year and March of next.
In connection with the change of the team, it can be assumed that the remake, at best, will be released towards the end of the year or even in 2023.
