Midnight Suns is an upcoming tactical RPG from Firaxis Games’ XCOM and Civilization studio. While little gameplay has seen the light of day, it appears to be a character-focused, squad-based tactical game similar to XCOM: Chimera Squad. Players create a squad of Marvel superheroes and work towards certain goals. Like all Firaxis games, Midnight Suns will be turn-based.
The Classification Board gave Marvel’s Midnight Suns an M rating. This rating also came out of seemingly nowhere. The game hasn’t been heard from since November 2021 and still doesn’t have an exact release date, the game is currently scheduled for the second quarter of 2022 and this rating confirms that everything is going according to plan.
The game is based on a Marvel comic book series called Midnight Sons. The Sons of Midnight are a team of Marvel heroes who are into the supernatural. It usually consists of Doctor Strange, Morbius, Ghost Rider, Helstrom and others. The game Midnight Suns looks like it will have a wider selection of available heroes. The plot of the game is that the most powerful Marvel heroes must unite to stop the demonic forces of Lilith, who is trying to resurrect her master Chthon.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
