A few weeks before the release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, the actor appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, where he told his feelings about the change in attitude towards The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
I reviewed them all to prepare for the filming of the series,” McGregor admitted. “The last time I did this franchise was at the third episode set in Australia, sometime in 2003. Almost 20 years have passed, which is quite a long time. When the prequels came out, most didn’t accept them. But it was nice to watch them now, knowing that people loved these films. That the kids we shot them for at the time loved them so much. It was cool to feel it.
The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi will air on May 27.
