Sony has prepared for the release of a new version of the flagship smartphone Xperia 1 IV. The novelty has retained some similarities in design with its predecessor, but at the same time received a number of improvements.
Message from the editor: Our defenders from the 3rd separate UDA battalion, who are in the Zaporozhye region, need things to resist the enemy: quadrocopters and smartphones to control them, night vision sights. Details for transferring funds to a monobank card – Katerina Kolonovich, card number 5375411505235312. Please join the fundraising. Glory to Ukraine!
The Sony Xperia 1 IV features a 6.5-inch 4K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The display panel is up to 50% brighter than last year’s Xperia 1 III. The device contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal flash memory. If that’s not enough, the storage can be expanded by another 1TB using a microSD card.
On the back of the Sony Xperia 1 IV is a triple camera based on 12-megapixel sensors. The zoom telephoto module is now able to seamlessly switch between the 85-125mm focal length range without loss of quality or accuracy. The previous model was limited to focal lengths of 70 or 105 mm.
The novelty also offers front-facing stereo speakers, a 5000 mAh battery, support for fast charging and wireless charging, but the charging capacity was not specified. The fingerprint scanner is located in the power button. On the case, there was a place for a fingerprint scanner in the power button, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a dedicated camera shutter button. The device runs Android 12 with a number of improvements, including Game Enhancer.
The new Sony Xperia 1 IV smartphone will go on sale from September 1, 2022 in purple or black body options. The price of the device is set at $1600.
