Netflix’s upcoming Resident Evil movie is in the starting blocks. Today, the streaming giant released a first trailer for it, giving a glimpse of the story.
The upcoming film focuses on Albert Wesker’s children and is set 14 years after a global pandemic caused by a deadly virus. The official synopsis states:
“Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus unleashed a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker struggles to survive in a world overrun by bloodthirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, her father’s sinister connections to the Umbrella Corporation, but most importantly, what happened to her sister, Billie.”
Resident Evil premieres on July 14, 2022.
