Netflix supposedly likes a release in the Christmas area.

The Witcher Blood Origin series, the prequel to The Witcher, may come out later than expected. There were rumors that the premiere will take place in October, now a more reliable source of Redanian Intelligence claims that it could be scheduled for December 2022.
Netflix is allegedly aiming to release the series around Christmas time. According to Redanian Intelligence, the show could air on December 24, 25 or 26.
Around the same time, the publication notes, the first and second seasons of The Witcher were released. Most likely, Netflix liked the results shown by the main show in the pre-holiday release window.
Work on The Witcher Blood Origin is apparently far from over. In April, the creators of the series conducted reshoots for a number of scenes, most likely, post-production is now underway.
The Witcher Blood Origin is a six-episode mini-series. He will tell about the events that took place on the Continent hundreds of years ago, and explain where the monster hunters came from.
