Yesterday, Paradox Interactive studio released another add-on for the space strategy. Stellaris. The Overlord addon added new types of vassal empires to the game and… for some reason turned all people into Asians.
Apparently, in the patch, the developers replaced the old portraits of the human race with new ones. As a result, gamers received one male portrait with five skin tones and another female portrait with the same five skin tones. At the same time, both look like Asians – now sending Caucasians into space will not work.
Here’s what it looks like in game:
Of course, such changes did not go unnoticed by Stellaris fans. Some gamers ridiculed the replacement of portraits, and she really pissed someone off. Here are some of the latest reviews on the addon’s Steam page:
Most likely, this is a banal bug that will be corrected with the first patch. It can be assumed that the developers wanted to add new portraits, but accidentally replaced all the previous ones with them.
Or is it some strange reference to the Boss of the Galaxy – Van Darkholme.
